Hello dear readers of the Barlow Family General,
It’s Adelle here, checking in with y’all as we haven’t had a pod out this whole week. Why is this happening (?!) you might ask. Well, Lou is VERY busy with The Folk Implosion tour! Yay! That has been keeping Lou so occupied we really haven’t been able to find a time to record a podcast episode. You know we miss doing our podcast, we LOVE making the podcast. It just wasn’t possible this past week between his traveling and my limited available schedule with summer camp and solo parenting etc. We promise to be back with at least one new episode next week. Lou finishes up the first leg of his tour Saturday and comes home Sunday. After a week home, he will be hitting the road again with John Davis for another two week stint, moving into the midwest area. Speaking of which, please go the link here to find tickets to a show near you! Lou has been so happy with the shows and feeling really good about it.
Here are some pics Lou sent me from the road.

Kids love The Folk Implosion too! Check out this sign made by Estelle, daughter of the house show host Melissa in Cedar Grove, NJ.

These brothers in Somerville were excited for the show and they recreated this version of the new album, Walk Thru Me. (I love kid art so much)
On the home front, I’ve been busy shuttling our gal Izzy to and fro to summer camp, and working on creating new pieces for the art space Waterway Arts in Turners Falls, MA. I have quite a few pieces of my knitwear and crochet for sale there, if you are in the area stop by!
Here’s some of my goodies in the shop. They have rug art, ceramics, jewelry, quilts, paintings, and so much more. The street, Avenue A, where it is located also has one of our favorite breakfast spots, The Upper Bend. Get a breakfast sandwich and walk down the street to check out all the art.
Here is the location

If you heard our last episode, you know that Izzy was performing in Aristocats at her camp this summer. She had the role of Madam and did a great job! Here’s a little snippet from the show. That’s her little solo! (She’s in the dress)
That’s all for now! We miss you and can’t wait to come back with a new pod next week.
cheers
Adelle
Thanks for sharing the setlist. I'm looking forward to seeing them tonight in Atlanta. I figured they would play ten songs and call it a night, but not The Folk Implosion. From "Burning Paper" to "Water Torture," the entire catalog is represented. I'm hopeful they will play "Back To The Sunrise," but I understand that "Gravity Decides" these things. I'm just thankful they are back together making fantastic music. The tour is a bonus.
Awesome pics, thanks for posting them 💙 Kind of a weird feeling in 2024, being bummed that I can't see Folk Implosion live, after 25 years of accepting the fact that I'd never see Folk Implosion live 😂
