We recorded this podcast on Election Day, in the morning, shortly before I left for the airport for a trio of shows in South America with Dinosaur Jr. I don’t have much to say other than the episode seems like a free-wheeling confection right now. We touch on religion, Adelle revealing her religious affiliation and me giving a shaky take on the St. Thomas the Apostle story, from the Bible (!). There’s also a big old technical glitch in the middle of the episode that required me to remix the audio for the last half of the show.
As our 100th full length episode approaches (though we’ve done almost as many ‘bonus’ episodes too) I’ve been going through the cassette tapes I’ve used for the intros, outros, and kooky segments we’ve done. The tapes are odd, lotsa backwards noises, song fragments, unused bits. I prefaced the show with a little taste of what I’ve been finding. Once I’m back from Brazil and Adelle is back from her trip to Wisconsin we’ll do a nice 100th episode flashback, assuming we can regain our senses of humour, or, maybe we’ll talk through some tough stuff. We’ve done it before.

I had, indeed, just packed to leave so it seemed acceptable to reuse the song and a nice way to segue from the loss of the ‘good’ audio to the ‘not so good’ video audio to round out and, hopefully, save the show.
