Izzy goes to camp

New Hampshire is a beautiful state, I had no idea. When I drove Izzy to sleepaway camp I used Waze to get there from our house. The app took us on the most incredible drive. From our home in Massachusetts, up thru a corner of Vermont then across New Hampshire. The camp Izzy is attending is near the border of New Hampshire and Maine. When we entered New Hampshire I was so grateful that it was a day drive so I could take it all in. The state is so green and lush, gently rolling hills, endless ponds, streams and lakes. Lovely. Feels very fresh. I am only speaking for myself here, but I feel a tension there as well. The state motto is “Live Free or Die” and it’s considered a “swing state”. Some years leaning into Republican candidates and other years leaning into Democrats. For me, it’s almost as if I could feel the environment pulling back and forth like a tug of war match. I find it an intriguing place. I’m curious to explore more of it. I exclaimed “wow” many times while winding thru woods, the wilderness taking my breath away.
