This week’s full episode of RAW Impressions has Lou ‘surprising’ Adelle with a slow reveal of a new song. He and newly-8-year-old Izzy recorded Take A Walk Down Memory Lane (a song Izzy began singing at dinner a few nights ago) in a secret session the night before. Throughout the episode Lou plays bits of it for Adelle while talking about the song’s origins and family memories. The whole uninterrupted, mind-scrambling song is streaming for all to hear right here!
The song was recorded in Lou’s usual digital/analog hybrid, he and Izzy performed the song, 4-Track Man added Izzy’s original verse lyrics (including one line of his own!). Musically it’s a minimal arrangement of Lou’s vintage Korg Bass-Synthe and Univox rhythm machine (fox-trot setting) and not-so-vintage Micro-Korg synthesizer.
